WARTS

WHAT ARE WARTS?

Warts are harmless changes to the skin, usually small, round or irregularly shaped, rough and hard to the touch. Common warts typically appear on hands and feet, so on the areas that are frequently injured. They can also appear on other parts of the body. They can be yellow, brown or grey. Flat warts are another type of warts that typically appear on the face and are yellow-brown and can occur in groups. Small, long and narrow warts are filiform warts and they usually appear on people’s neck, lips and eyelids. We also know genital warts that appear on male and female genitalia. They are long, soft and often occur in groups.

WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS AND TRIGGERS?

Warts do not usually result in other symptoms, except on the bottom of the feet, when they are flattened and surrounded by thick skin. These warts can be painful because of the pressure of body weight. Warts never change into cancerous forms.

Warts spread from one place to another on the body, whereas they are usually not contagious with human contacts. The virus enters the body through a slightly damaged skin.

IS THERE A CURE FOR WARTS?

Without treatment, warts resolve in months to years on their own. It depends of course on the size and area of the wart. Professional monitoring is not necessary.

EFFECTIVE METHODS FOR WART REMOVAL:

  • application of salicylic acid or lactic acid (adhesive pads treated with the solution of one or other acid);
  • cryotherapy (freezing the warts with liquid nitrogen);
  • electrodesiccation (the use of the electrical impulse on the area with damaged cells);
  • removal with laser;
  • removal with skin-care products that work as a mild antiseptic (e.g. active oxygen compounds) and help with oxygenation and quicker skin regeneration;
  • effective are the products that soften the wart and ease its exfoliation, which means that the skin on the area with a wart is moisturised and hydrated (e.g. products with hyaluronic acid and Aloe vera). This improves the activity of active substances (e.g. active oxygen compounds).

EXTREMELY EFFECTIVE IS THE COMBINATION OF LASER, CRYOTHERAPY OR ELECTRODESICCATION WITH ACTIVE OXYGEN COMPOUNDS.

WHAT WE RECOMMEND?

To effectively remove the warts, you can use Oxilver Skin gel.

Oxilver Skin Gel works like an antiseptic and the process of oxygenation ensures a quicker recovery of the changed skin surface. Because of active oxygen and ionised silver, the base of the wart and its deep roots are ruined and the wart visibly shrinks, until it completely disappears.

The addition of hyaluronic acid and Aloe vera enable intensive moisturising that effectively softens the surface of the wart

The gel enables a longer time of action and speeds up the process of exfoliation of the thick surface, which you should remove regularly.

OXILVER® Skin solution za kožo 100 mlSpray that nourishes healthy or problematic skin:

  • impure and acne-prone skin
  • red and sensitive skin
  • dry and cracked skin
  • skin with signs of ageing (wrinkles, pigmentation)
  • The solution and gel ensure regeneration and supply the skin with oxygen, act as a mild antiseptic as well as oxygenate, nourish and clean the area of application.
  • Hyaluronic acid and Aloe vera help ensure intensive moisturising, bigger elasticity, suppleness and smoothness of the skin.

OXILVER® Skin gel for skin

The addition of hyaluronic acid and Aloe vera enable intensive moisturizing that effectively softens the surface of the wart. The gel enables a longer time of action and speeds up the process of exfoliation of the thick surface, which you should remove regularly.

How to use:
Apply OXILVER® Skin Gel 3-4 times a day, preferably after washing when the skin is moisturized. In the evening, apply a thicker layer of gel, which is then covered with a patch. The resulting occlusion accelerates the process of softening and exfoliation of the wart surface. Continue the procedure until the wart disappears.
